How Do You Listen?
I listen in a variety of ways, most of which don't really pay tribute to the artist's effort in making the music! Often, I pick individual tracks or three from albums and move on (very easy with a streaming system). Sometimes I play an album with the TV on silent, I have watched Newsnight on subtitles before now! I quite often play music when using the laptop in the evening too, and I suspect many do this.
It's actually quite rare for me to sit and listen to something with no distractions or other stimuli, like TV or 'puter. The other night I sat and listened to two albums right through, giving them my sole attention. It was then I realised I don't do this enough, as it was most rewarding.
How do you chaps listen? Do you devote the time and attention to an album that it deserves?
